Each month The Associated Press honors photographers for outstanding coverage while on assignment. 

The winners for the September 2024 AP Photo Contest are Leo Correa for News Photography Single Image, for his photo of Israeli shelling hitting an area in southern Lebanon as seen from northern Israel.

Hassan Ammar for News Photography Story, for his coverage events surrounding escalations between Israel and Lebanon.

Darko Vojinovic for Feature Photography Single Image, for his photo of boys rowing through algae growth on the Sava river in Belgrade, Serbia.

Matias Delacroix for Feature Photography Story, for coverage of the annual folk festival that celebrates the feast day of Our Lady of Mercedes in Guarare, Panama.

Christophe Ena for Sports Photography Single Image, for his photo of Vinicius Goncalves Rodrigues of Brazil competing in the men's 100 m. T63 at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France.

Emilio Morenatti for Sports Photography Story, for his coverage of the Paralympics in Paris, France.
