Each month The Associated Press honors photographers for outstanding coverage while on assignment.

The winners for the November 2020 AP Photo Contest are Carolyn Kaster for News Photography Single Image, for her photo of U.S. President-elect Joe Biden standing on stage with his wife Jill Biden as he leans past the protective glass in Wilmington, Del.

David Goldman for News Photography Story, for his series on voting during the U.S. presidential election in Michigan.

Rafiq Maqbool for Feature Photography Single Image, for his photo of a woman asking for alms as people rush to catch the train outside the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj train terminus in Mumbai, India.

Bernat Armangue for Feature Photography Story, for his series on the opera at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Spain, during the times of coronavirus.

Frank Augstein for Sports Photography Single Image, for his photo of Dominic Thiem of Austria serving to Daniil Medvedev of Russia during their singles final tennis match at the ATP World Finals tennis tournament at the O2 arena in London.

Alessandra Tarantino for Sports Photography Story, for her coverage in Italy of the death of soccer legend Diego Maradona.
