The winners for the June 2023 AP Photo Contest are Fatima Shbair for News Photography Single Image, for her photo of a Palestinian child posing with a weapon at an arms exhibition for the ruling Hamas group’s military wing during Eid al-Adha holiday at Nusseirat refugee camp, central Gaza Strip.
Rafiq Maqbool for News Photography Story, for his coverage of passenger trains that derailed in Balasore district, in the eastern Indian state of Orissa, killing more than 280.
Matias Delacroix for Feature Photography Single Image, for his photo of Fisherwomen and men pulling in a net of fish off the coast of Chuao, Venezuela.
