Army Navy rivalry resumes

Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, marks the 115th renewal of the Army–Navy college football rivalry. The game features the teams of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and will be played at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Over the years NFL Hall of Famer Roger Staubach, as well as other NFL players Phil McConkey and Napolean McCallum participated in the rivalry. Instant replay also debuted on television in the 1963 Army-Navy game. Various US Presidents have attended the game over the years.

Navy won last year’s game 34-7 and leads the all-time series with a record of 58 wins, 49 losses, and seven ties.

AP photographers have documented the rivalry for decades. Below is a collection highlighting some of those most memorable moments.
