100 years since the birth of Truman Capote
American writer and playwright Truman Capote, best known for writing Breakfast at Tiffany's and In Cold Blood, would have been celebrating the centenary year of his birth on September 30.
Associated Press photographers captured his extraordinary life and career from the 1950s up until his death in 1984.
