Each month The Associated Press honors photographers for outstanding coverage while on assignment.
The winners for the February 2021 AP Photo Contest are Luca Bruno for News Photography Single Image, for his photo of Caterina Salvi, 90, waiting for visitors inside a protective inflatable plastic tunnel at the Martino Zanchi nursing home in Alzano Lombardo, northern Italy.
Emilio Morenatti for News Photography Story, for his series of images documenting protests in support of a jailed rapper turned violent in Barcelona.
Thibault Camus for Feature Photography Single Image, for his his photo of workers in the Louvre museum, in Paris, lifting a painting called "Christ on the Cross adored by two donors" by Spanish painter El Greco, as it returned from an exhibition at the Chicago Institute.
Anupam Nath for Feature Photography Story, for his series on a child scavenger in India.
Raed Krishan for Sports Photography Single Image, for his photo of third place winner Germany's Karl Geiger as he competes at the men's Ski Jumping World Cup event in Rasnov, Romania
Moises Castillo for Sports Photography Story, for his series on Caribbean Series baseball in Mexico.
