Each month The Associated Press honors photographers for outstanding coverage while on assignment.

The winners for the December 2020 AP Photo Contest are Francisco Seco for News Photography Single Image, for his photo of medical staff struggling with a COVID-19 patient in Belgium.

Natacha Pisarenko for News Photography Story, for her series on protests in Argentina on a new bill being debated in Congress on the decriminalization of abortion.

Ramon Espinosa for Feature Photography Single Image, for his photo of a people exercising on the street in Cuba during the pandemic.

Natacha Pisarenko for Feature Photography Story, for her series on transgender hiring in Argentina.

Darron Cummings for Sports Photography Single Image, for his photo of Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Zach Pascal (14) going over Houston Texans cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III (26) for a touchdown in the second half of an NFL football game in Indianapolis.
