Kobani, also known as Ayn Arab, and its surrounding areas, has been under assault by the Islamic State group since mid-September and is being defended by Kurdish fighters. More than 200,000 people fleeing the Islamic State militants’ arrived in Turkey to find safety. Our AP Photographers are currently documenting the conflict afflicting the Turkey and Syrian boarder.
