The winners for the March 2024 AP Photo Contest are Fernando Llano for News Photography Single Image, for his photo of a mob beating a woman they suspect of kidnapping and killing an 8-year-old girl, after dragging her out of a police vehicle, in Taxco, Mexico.
Ariel Schalit for News Photography Story, for his series on Israelis who evacuated from cities and towns along the border with Lebanon after the start of the war and are grappling with the question of when they will be able to return home.
Vadim Ghirda for Feature Photography Single Image, for his photo of snow coating the photograph of a fallen Ukrainian serviceman in downtown Kyiv, Ukraine.
David Goldman for Feature Photography Story, for his U.S. election-based series out of Elmore, Vermont.
Lindsey Wasson for Sports Photography Single Image, for her photo of Kansas City Royals relief pitcher Jake Brentz preparing to throw during the eighth inning of a spring training baseball game against the Oakland Athletics in Surprise, Ariz.
